Originally built for the mistresses of King Leopold of Belgium, La Leopolda is currently owned by Russian billionaire, Roman Abramovich, and some are referring to as the world’s most expensive house. It was sold to Roman for $500 million dollars, and was once the home of famous people including late banking magnate Edmund Safra, Bill Gates and Gianni Agnelli. What’s wonderful about this hilltop is its amazing view, as it overlooks the French Riviera, has the best sea views in the south of France, and also sits on 10 acres of immaculate grounds that run right down to the resort of Villefranche.
