Apple has recently upgraded its Macbook Pro line of laptops. Among the most noticeable improvements, there's the Intel Core i5/Core i7 Processor (CPU), the discreet Nvidia GT 330M graphics processor (GPU) and an even longer battery life (increased by 1hr to 3hrs, according to Apple -depending on the model). The old Macbook Pro laptops have been removed from the shelves, so there is little point in spending too much time comparing. This review might be most useful to very old Macbook owners, potential first-time Mac Buyers who wonder which Macbook Pro they should get (13, 15 or 17). We have not forgotten Windows users who could be lured by the great aluminum industrial design, so we will tell you how it behaves under Windows 7 and what's in it for you. In this review, we will use the Macbook Pro 15.4" with Core i7 and we will compare it with its peers. Ready?Context: We all use laptops for different purposes, so before you dive into this review, let me tell you where I come from: I mainly use laptops for productivity use (writing, email, browsing, light image resizing). Some gaming from time to time doesn't hurt, but this is not a priority. "Productivity use" means MS Office (Outlook, Word) and lots of web (Firefox, Chrome). I try to use my laptop as a companion computer only (I have a beefy desktop PC), so I don't have all my media files (music, videos, photos) in there, which is why I have plenty of storage left on the hard drive. In the past two years, I have used a Sony Vaio SZ , a Sony Vaio SR and a Macbook Pro 13" (year 2009, on Windows 7) as work laptops -- yes, I'm a "PC" guy too. I often use Mac OS X for my personal stuff, but most of the tools that I work with run on Windows. From this review, I hope that you can extrapolate what your experience of the 15" Macbook Pro (Spring 2010) would be like.

New in this product is Intel® Trusted Execution Technology (Intel® TXT, formerly codenamed LaGrande). Intel TXT protects data within virtualized computing environments, an important feature as IT managers are considering the adoption of new virtualization-enabled computer uses. Used in conjunction with a new generation of the company's virtualization technology – Intel® Virtualization Technology for Directed I/O – Intel TXT ensures that virtual machine monitors are less vulnerable to attacks that cannot be detected by today's conventional software-security solutions. By isolating assigned memory through this hardware-based protection, it keeps data in each virtual partition protected from unauthorized access from software in another partition.
In addition, Intel enhanced its Intel vPro processor technology with improved System Defense Filters. These filters can identify greater numbers and varieties of threats in the network traffic flow.
The latest version of Intel vPro processor technology also offers an embedded trust agent, the first certified by Cisco, providing the industry's only 802.1x compatible manageability solution not dependent on OS-availability. This trust agent offers Cisco's IT customers the ability to manage systems, even if powered off or the OS is down, without lowering the security on 802.1x networks and Cisco* Self-Defending Network products.
Further boosting PC manageability is the newest generation of Intel Active Management Technology (Intel® AMT). Intel® AMT allows for inventory and repair PCs "out of band" – meaning even if the OS has crashed or the PC is turned off. Enhancements include convenient remote configuration tools and compliance with the latest industry standards. I Phone 4 Released
Today is a historic day for all of us out there who have a little bit of an unhealthy addition to everything Apple. Steve Jobs addressed the Worldwide Developers Conference just moments ago, and introduced the new iPhone 4. With the advancements in this version of Apple’s revolutionary smart phone the technology world is buzzing. But the question we here at HVC are asking is what effect does the new iPhone have on Eco Fashion? First, we cannot contain our joy and excitement at this new piece of artwork itself. The iPhone 4 is truly a piece of beauty. Second a little research tells that Apple has been consistently innovating their sustainability commitments and have a trend towards “greening” the technological arena, which is encouraging of such a leader in their field.
